A warm and friendly welcome always awaits you here at Heather cottage
near Aysgarth Falls,
Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The two Bed and Breakfast Guest Rooms are set
in a private and secluded wing of the house but guests are always welcomed into
our home and often join us in the large kitchen, sitting around the warming Aga and
chatting over cups of tea and homemade cakes.

"Bainbridge"
room:
Antique Edwardian Bed with luxurious en-suite bathroom and shower over.
The Rock Garden was originally designed to present a view of the waterfall,
through a cleft in the rocks, to this bedroom which in the early
1900's was occupied by the master of the house. |

"Wensley"
room:
Antique French double bed and spacious
en-suite shower-room.
Views from the shower room are "down" Wensleydale and over
Bolton castle in the distance. |

Breakfast :
Is served in a separate dining room furnished with antiques
and with stained
glass windows to the rear.
The dining room overlooks the Edwardian rock garden to the
front.

Guest Lounge:
There is a separate Guest lounge where guests may read, use our wireless
broadband facilities to access the internet on your own laptops, listen to music (CD, radio) or play chess, backgammon and other games. |

Garden Areas & Boot Room:
Outside, guests are welcome to sit in the patio or garden areas,
take in the views of Lady hill with the sun setting behind and to relax after a
days hiking or cycling in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
We also have a boot room where you are welcome to wash and dry your boots,
(should they become muddy!!!), after walking the dales.

Bedrooms:
There are 2 double rooms available for guests, both of which are south facing
and have fantastic views
over the Edwardian Rock Garden. The rooms both offer the following facilities:
- Full en-suite luxury bathroom or shower-room
- Remote control, flat screen LCD TV with all Freeview channels
- Wireless broadband internet access freely available (in Guest
Bedrooms and Lounge)
- DVD / CD player for you to use with your own discs
- Tea & Coffee making facilities - we provide fresh milk daily
for you in the room fridge.
- Fridge to keep your drinks cool
- Hair dryer
- Alarm clock
- ...and if there is anything else that you need...we are here to help
you...
Both rooms, as shown above,
are comfortably furnished with antiques and are bright and spacious.

Parking:
Guests are welcome to use the off-road parking available for 3 cars
behind the house where you will be greeted by our flock of free-range rare-breed
hens (who also provide part of your breakfast). There is also ample parking within the village. Bicycles
can be securely locked away.
Pets and Children:
We regret that we cannot accept children under the age of 10 and please
note that we have no family rooms available.
Also, because of our free range hens, we cannot accept pets.
Festive Gift Vouchers:
If you would like to give a gift voucher to use as part/payment for
accommodation at Heather Cottage for a friend or relative then we would be happy
to provide one for you. Vouchers can be made out for any amount and can be used
at any time over the following 12 months where availability allows. Just let us know the amount, send your
cheque (made out to "Heather Cottage") to the address below and we will send the
voucher by return of post to you. We can also take payment by credit/debit card
over the phone if you prefer.
Payment:
We are pleased to accept payment by most of the major credit and debit
cards, or by cash or £sterling cheque.
Please note that for the comfort of all of our guests and in accordance with
government legislation, the house and rooms are non-smoking.
Also we regret that we cannot
accept pets.
